Dr. Sr. Catherine Bernard, MBBS, MS

A medical doctor and family life professional, Dr. Catherine Bernard founded SERFAC in 1986 with the conviction that if the family fails, society fails; if the family succeeds, society gains. Her early work focused on family planning education with low-income couples in South India. Over four decades she has led SERFAC from a Chennai-based centre into an internationally recognized voice for the family at the United Nations and beyond.
